Bio
The Full Story
From a young age, I envisioned a career rooted in passion, purpose, and innovation. As a goal-driven individual, I dedicated myself to transforming that vision into reality. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of creating and selling businesses, collaborating with influential professionals, and driving projects that push boundaries in engineering and technology.
A Journey of Service and Innovation
My career began in 1997 in the United States Army as an Infantryman, where I developed invaluable skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership. In 2000, I transitioned to Electronics Intelligence Analyst, delving into advanced electrical systems and honing my expertise in circuits, wiring, and signal emissions. These experiences built the foundation for a career defined by adaptability and resilience. After an injury in 2006, I left the military and pivoted to engineering, channeling my military-acquired problem-solving, and leadership skills into this new path.
Engineering Excellence
Since launching my engineering career in 2006, I’ve contributed to groundbreaking advancements in electric vehicle powertrains, hybrid systems, and software integration. I’ve worked with legacy OEMs and innovative startups, leading teams to develop multimillion-dollar prototype vehicles and delivering production-ready solutions under tight deadlines.
One of my proudest achievements includes leading efforts to secure a $50 million government contract. This project involved directing high-voltage teams, overseeing homologation and certification, and ensuring every milestone was met with excellence.
Currently, I’m recognized as an industry expert in EV charging standards, actively shaping the future of sustainable transportation. I collaborate with organizations like SAE, IEEE, and ISO, contributing to critical committees and advancing global charging and homologation standards.
Leadership Through Action
Leadership, to me, is about more than managing projects, it’s about empowering individuals. Whether mentoring through SAE/IEEE, teaching at universities, or leading global teams, I strive to foster an environment where every team member thrives. My adaptive leadership style, rooted in methodologies like Six Sigma, Agile, and Kaizen, ensures that I not only meet but exceed the goals.
I firmly believe in leading by example, placing my team’s success above all else. If the team succeeds, I’ve succeeded. My ultimate goal is to develop leaders who inspire others and think beyond present challenges to create future-centric solutions.
Shaping the Future
With nearly two decades of experience in electrical and electronics architecture, EV powertrain development, and quality management, I continue to push boundaries. My work integrates design for manufacturing principles, systems thinking, and cutting-edge standards to deliver impactful results.
